Welcome! I go by Jess as well as Rain here on the internet. I am currently 22 years old and I graduated from Virginia Tech this past year (and miss it so much already!) I am going to be attending Mizzou for vet school in the fall! Right now, I am working at a vet clinic that I have been with for over 5 years now and in my free time hanging out with my best friend, Beamer, the golden retriever. Of course, I cannot leave out my three wives that are all amazing (you all know who you are, of course).
I have a lot of passion for all the fandoms that my heart is dedicated to. Just to name a few... Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Harry Potter (Ravenclaw), Avatar: The Last Airbender (I'm an airbender and Zutarian as I am the creator of the Zutara fan-page on Facebook) and Legend of Korra, Star Wars (Imperial), Studio Ghibli movies, Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite anime of all time but I also loved Death Note and Wolf's Rain. Currently, Mass Effect owns my life and Tali owns my heart forever and always. She will also forever be apart of me since I have her tattooed on my leg.
I also have a huge passion for the Golden Retriever breed. My boy, Beamer, has just brought a huge amount of joy to my life and has taught me so much. I am now a huge advocate for the correct breeding of goldens by following the Golden Retriever Club of America code and breeding only with the correct health clearances (OFA hips and elbows, CERF yearly, and cardiologist checked heart). With Beamer, I am currently testing the waters in competitive obedience. We are also doing Rally Obedience and we already have our first title, Rally Novice. Beamer also has his Canine Good Citizen title. This year we are hoping to get our Companion Dog title in obedience and our Rally Advanced and Excellent title later in the year. Eventually, I want to get into showing goldens in Conformation and get started in hunt trials as well as agility. Beamer has opened up this world for me and I am very thankful that we get to experience it together.
